Certified by the North Carolina Department of Insurance, Lewis Financial Services Institute was founded by Donald E. Lewis in an effort to create a more viable way for professionals in the insurance industry to become more educated and prepared for the state licensing exam.

Since its inception in 1988, thousands of students have successfully completed courses offered by Lewis Financial Services Institute, including Life & Health Insurance, Property & Liability Coverage, and Medicare Supplemental Insurance. Today, more than 90 percent of our graduates return for their annual continuing education courses.

Along with our array of in-class courses, Lewis Financial Services Institute also offers home study programs and online courses will be fourth coming.

At Lewis Financial Services Institute, our mission is to provide the best in insurance and continuing education services to the community. Our main goal is to fully prepare each of our students so they can successfully pass the North Carolina state exam on their first attempt. That's why at registration, all Lewis Financial Services Institute students are provided with more than just a state-approved curriculum. Course materials and the NC Candidate Guide are included at no additional cost. Computer-based training aids may also be available to assist the student.

In addition to review sessions at the end of each class day, Lewis Financial Services Institute also provides final review sessions prior to state exams. During this time, instructors review material covered in the state exam, along with answering any student questions.
